Types of Live-In Care Services

24-Hour Care in Shifts

Shift care is best suited to seniors who require a high level of care throughout the day or night, but who are not necessarily looking for a caregiver to live in their home. Shift caregivers will typically work in 8-12 hour shifts, with two or three caregivers providing assistance over a 24-hour period.

The benefit of this option is that the family will not have to provide food or accommodations for the caregiver, while still maintaining constant support for the senior. Shift care is also the optimal choice for seniors who actively require care during the night.

Live-in Care

Live-in care is best for families who wish to have a caregiver present in the home at all times, and who have the space to accommodate a caregiver. Your loved one’s team of live-in caregivers will develop strong relationships with your loved one, which will allow them to be receptive to any changes in care, and highly perceptive when it comes to noting any changes in your loved one’s condition.
