What is Respite Care?

An exhausted caregiver is not an effective caregiver. It’s important for caregivers and for those they care for that they remember to take care of themselves in the midst of taking care of others. A caregiver must stay healthy in order to capably assist the senior they care for in doing the same. If you are a primary caregiver in need of a break, or if your loved one’s main caregiver requires a period of rest, Mavencare’s respite care services can help.

A respite caregiver will provide your loved one with expert home care while the primary caregiver takes some time off. Respite care will be every bit as competent and supportive as the regular care your loved one receives, so you need not worry about the quality of care suffering at all.

Respite care services are often required for a couple days per week, but they can also be used for longer periods time should the regular caregiver be ill or injured, occupied by a family emergency, or on vacation.
